Job Description: Functional Analyst – Zuora Revenue (Revenue Recognition)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Zuora Revenue Functional Analyst with strong experience in revenue recognition to support and implement Zuora Revenue solutions for our clients. This role focuses on configuring, supporting, and optimizing Zuora Revenue to ensure accurate revenue recognition aligned with accounting standards and business requirements.
The ideal candidate combines solid accounting knowledge with hands-on functional expertise in Zuora Revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in end-to-end Zuora Revenue implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Configure revenue contracts, performance obligations, SSPs, allocation rules, accounting policies, and revenue recognition schedules.
  • Work cross-functionally to translate business requirements into compliant revenue recognition processes.
  • Assist with data migration, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Zuora Revenue configurations and reporting.
  • Prepare functional documentation, solution designs, and process flow diagrams.
  • Conduct user training and provide post-go-live support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Zuora Revenue implementations or support.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
  • Experience with subscription or usage-based revenue models.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a consulting team.
  • Experience with Zuora Billing, Salesforce CPQ, or related systems is a preferred.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent accounting certification is a plus.
